Children of families registered at Saint Peter Parish receive sacraments according to a time frame established by the Director of Religious Education at Saint Peter. Regardless of whether the children attend public school, parochial school, or home-school, as a parish family our children all come together for the reception of sacraments. Information pertaining to the reception of sacraments is shared at a Parent Sacrament Forum held each Fall at Saint Peter.
The purpose of the Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is to assist the parents in the religious education of their children. This is done through weekly instruction in the basic doctrines of the Catholic Faith. These instructions include preparation to receive the sacraments of Penance, Eucharist and Confirmation,
according to the guidelines of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
All Catholic school teachers and Catechists complete Safe-Environment training mandated by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Questions about Sacramental Preparation should be directed to Mrs. Patrice Peterson, Director of Religious Education, at the PREP Office: 610-384-3145 or firstname.lastname@example.org
